Old school reflection: Charlie Singleton Just seeing if anyone remembers the song "Make your move on me, baby" by Charlie Singleton from his "Modern Man" CD (circa 1985)? Dude played MANY instruments. He had some good hooks on his solo work. He still had a little bit of the Cameo sound but definately had his own flavor.

Wicked guitarist...his solo on "love you anyway"by Cameo..is brilliant...his live version of "talkin out the side of yo neck" beheaded people. "I wasn't invited to shake hands with Hitler, but I wasn't invited to the White House to shake hands with the President, either" ~ Jesse Owens

Pulling out a jam like this seperates the true funk/R&B heads from the posers.

One of the baddest funk/rock guitarists - he's up there with P and Roger Troutman. I had his solo album, "Man on a Mission"(I had it on cassette), which was a tour-de-force. As I'm typing this, I can't get that little tune "Sorry Charlie" out of my head (and it's not even a full-blown song).
The few times I've seen him with Cameo (I'm talkin' tv appearances) he never has his geetar turned up enough for my tastes. I wanna hear Mr. Charlie blow!!! [Edited 11/1/06 0:43am] My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth

Think he played the solos on "Candy", as well. My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth
