Not wanting to - ur - show my age here or anything, but I bought that little gem in every format when it was originally released in 1985. 7", 10", two 12", the US 12" and the cassette single.

Effete pretty-boy UK synth-wimps usually don't lift my skirt, but this was one of my favourite singles back then, and I think it still holds up quite nicely.

That's one of the Big 3 of '80s Pop IMO. It's flawless. love

Icicle, I love this song. But I love most of Tears For Fears big singles anyway.

thumbs up! Is the song "Me and my big ideas" from that album, that`s a beautiful song, especially Oleta Adams` vocals.

My favorite of theirs, too. I never liked them for years but got into them recently. I'm not saying I'm hoping for a revival, but I like their hits.

They already started the revival, and it's been great! Everybody Loves a Happy Ending, their comeback album, was one of the best of 2004 IMO.

I love "Head Over Heels" as well, but "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" is my favorite (with "Sowing the Seeds of Love" after that). HOH would be #3.

So I take it you don't strut your stuff to Erasure? lol Oh, wait, you said "pretty". Guess that rules them out. Don't you think Andy Bell looks like a pissed off hairdresser?lol

But I had the 7" double pack too! And that had the way cool Urban Mix on it.
