Caught it on cable one night. It's a better written than Glitter. Mariah is good in it, as well as Mira Sorvino. Worth checking out.

My friends from Staten Island said there are women that ride the ferry (to NY) that talk just like her so they got a kick out of it.

Her role in Wisegirls is what lead Lee Daniels to hire her his new next movie Tennessee.

Its so funny how many people that Glitter is the worst movie ever, where i can name at least 10 that are worse and all done by singers trying to act. Also if u thought the script and acting for glitter was bad, watch Honey, possibly the worst acting and writing ever!

Yes, I've seen it because my little sister is a RAGING Mariah Carey fan! I really had no choice. It is better than Glitter, but Mariah's acting wasn't exactly a high point. She was pretty much playing herself as a waitress at a mafia restaurant.

I agree, I saw The mexican with Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts and I had to leave the theater after 30 mins. I have the Wisegirls DVD and Mariah has a minor part Mira is great as usual, I recommend it,it's a good movie and got great reviews and a standing ovation at the Sundance festival I read.

Ain't that right. She can't seem to get a break for the life of her. She's funny, smart, talented, pretty, well-connected, won the fucking Oscar, but she can't get a role anymore.

"Wisegirls" was a good flick and Mariah wasn't that bad in it. I read her and Mira Sorvino didn't get along at all thru out the making of the movie. If you like mob flicks, then you'll like it.

Can Mariah be worse than Madonna in terms of acting?

Her character was named SYLK (I always quote Terrance Howard saying 'Turn Sylk down, Turn Billie all the way up!'
