Just don't buy his PR persona as a misunderstood, Peter Pan-like lover of humanity. More sinister than that. He did say they'll never go to school and he'd raise them alone at Neverland remember. Money can buy you anything... In reply to those who said "Why do you care to discuss his personal life?" it's probably because his whole career has been a set of planted PR stunts for media and public consumption. How they're reported even he can't control. Personally, I'm simultaneously fed up with him AND feel sorry for him. For complex reasons I won't get into here. Prince.org just isn't ready for that, by any means. I respected and admired him since his days with the J5 up until about the late 80s (though I lost interest in his music when Thriller wore out for me - and that was before it wore out for the rest of the world). But I don't think music is Michael's passion like it used to be. Breaking sales records and media/fan adulation/worship is more what he aspires to now. People can complain all they want about what people say about him, but Michael brings a lot of this stuff on himself by some of his actions, past and present. He and his past manager invited it. It didn't all of a sudden just happen by chance. For a long time I found him to be a great entertainer and vocalist, but I don't have any musical interest in him anymore. However, if he never released another album after the 80s his place in history would be secure. But today Michael's music business interests have superceded his love for music. Nothing wrong with that...if you're not a singer/songwriter. PS, David, there is a huge difference between speculating as to how and why a public person's child dies and whether said person had anything to do with it, as opposed to whether or not another public person's kids are biologically his. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes. | |

Of all the artists discussed here at the .org, MJ seems 2 take the brunt of attacks on his physical appearance, his sexual orientation, his financial situation, his business dealings...etc. Discussion is one thing, mean spirited attacks on him r another. And people appear 2 be proud 2 do so... that's just mean. 
I find it unnecessary 4 anyone 2 bag on someone's "favorite" artist...and 2 take pleasure in doing so. It creates a more unpleasant environment.
