can anyone name a band that has like primitive influence in thier music.
what i mean is like they use alot of tribal sounding drums, kinda in the realm of KUKL.
or perphaps anything that sounds like from another country.

does it have to be a band or will Peter Gabriel do? he has a lot of musician friends from lots of other countries!

I was gonna say get Peter Gabriel's Passion album.....but I think I remember a long time ago you saying that you didn't like him. You'd like this album I'm sure. If it's his voice you're worried about, then don't worry. He doesn't really sing on this one.....it's mostly instrumental with occasional layered vocals/chants from him. I'm not as familar with world music as I'd like to be. Some artists that I listen to use world influences in their music from time to time.

There are a couple of great sampler albums that came out accompanying Passion, "A Week or Two in the Real World" and "Passion Sources" I love those, and "Plus from Us" the inspiration for "Us"
