Oh most definately.

I was down with Trouble Funk in the '80s, and when I lived in D.C. in the '90s, I knew a couple of those cats.

I still have all of my live records... One of them is a double album, real low budget, white label, with block lettering. That double album is 1 of the funkiest things on record. Their studio stuff was NOTHING like the live stuff.

Let's get small, ya'll...

Peace.

I bought the 'Pump Me Up' single after they collaborated with Melle Mel a zillion years ago, is the rest of their stuff any good?

I only have the "Drop The Bomb" album (which contains "Pump Me Up"), their live album from Washington D.C., the 12 Inch, "Trouble Funk Express", and the 45, "Still Smokin'". You'd probably like the rest of their stuff. They definately have a style of their own which became known as the "Go-Go" sound. E.U.'s "The Butt" is also that sound.

HELL YEAH! what about the movie good to go?

I Have a big collection of gogo lp's. never knew why it didn't grasp bigger than it did though.

there was a couple of rappers--one being public enemy who sampled on of the records from trouble funk for a song on their very first lp.

Trouble Funk Live is where its at.

DC in the house!

Let's not forget Rare Essence, another seminal DC Go-Go outfit.

Growing up in DC, I've seen Chuck, Trouble, EU, RE, Junkyard, Reds and the Boys, Lil' Benny and the Masters. I love it all.
