hmmm. i've been on the fence about her studio stuff and then she knocked me off the fence at lollapalooza into a big ol' pool of haterade. i'm not a fan.

I really liked that last EP, she's a wordy little bird! pretty funny too

what happened at lollapalooza? i haven't seen too many live hip hop shows that were any good

it was just uninspired all around. she had a great crowd for being on a small stage, but she was half an hour late (eating up half of her stage time), and when she came out, it was like watching someone's little sister try to perform at a community center talent show. she just didn't really seem to give a shit and it wasn't at all cute or interesting or badass. just boring, especially to a cranky crowd who had to wait for her.

that's a bummer. but "The Battle" still makes me all happy...these Brits all rap so stinkin fast, no wonder they can't make it work live

My top 5 are pretty much set. One album that could still crack it has already been released albeit in the U.K. only and that is Joan As Police Woman's 'Real Life'.

Maybe Nellie McKay's 'Pretty Little Head' (Oct 31st) could make an impact with me also. Her debut was my #1 album of 2004.

Only Tom Waits' Orphans or The Evens - The Evens Get Even look interesting to me. Chances are, my top 5 are already set.
"I got the devil in me, girl." - 'John the Baptist', Afghan Whigs
"Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself."
