So what are your thoughts on his new album?

It's not "Get Lifted" for starters. I hope it grows on me. It is very Tony Bennett (with soul) Like a few reviews I'm with them when they say it is a bit "after dinnerish".

I'm gonna give it chance to grow on me!

I haven't heard the new album. However, I never quite understood all the hype about John Legend. I just attributed it to the fact that the music industry is currently so bereft of talent that anyone with a semblance of talent was hailed as the second coming.

I feel like the song writing has matured. It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea because it is subdued, but I can see musical growth- therefore I will support him.

Haven't heard it yet, but a friend played me his new single and I couldn't believe it was him! I was like cause it didn't sound like him at all!

Very Old School as in Al Jereau meets Dave Brubeck using soulful Frank Sinatra phrasings. It was a pleasant listen though. I like it better than his last album.

Well, gave it a listen and I have to say that I do like the album. It is very mellow and sort of slow, but I like his words and the melody of how he sings. I really don't see John's style as a mostly up tempo R&B type anyway, he's something else special. I love "Once Again"!!!

I'm still going to see him in Manchester on 21st December

I plan to get it but I have a feeling I'll like the first album better. Save Room grew on me somehow - the familiarity of it is pretty distracting though

Its different but I like the majority of it. Some of the songs sound the same. Some good tracks
