True story: About 8 years ago my wife and I were driving through the parking lot at the grocery store. Standing outside the store is this dude who has to be at least 6'5 with a long stringy perm and and a purple suit. "look at this fake-ass Nick Ashford" was the first thing outta my mouth. We walked past them and how 'bout it really was Nick Ashford! We figurd they ( he and Valerie Simpson) were in town because they are friends w/ Maya Angelou. We still trip on that one. Nick Ashford has always scared the mess out of me. I think its more in the eyes. I could never figure out why he was up in "New Jack City" playing a reverend...it just freaked me out even more, but when he talks it's laughable.
Verdine White, well I can't tell whose lips are bigger, his or Jay-Z's??? Verdine got a sexy voice though!!!I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. | |
