Beyonce ONLY listens to 70s music from Launch
-- The old-school influence of Beyonce's song "Work It Out" from the Goldmember soundtrack should not come as a surprise. The lead singer of Destiny's Child, who is working on a solo album, said that the CD changer in her car is loaded with music from more than 20 years ago. The singer, who made her big-screen debut in July opposite Mike Myers in Goldmember, said, "Actually, I listen...only thing I listen to is '70s music. I love Aretha Franklin. You can hear that in the single 'Work It Out.' James Brown. I love Donny Hathaway. Suggie Otis. Stevie Wonder. Those are a few. Oh. Of course Marvin Gaye. Minnie Riperton, a lot of people." Beyonce added that she stopped buying contemporary music several years ago. "I haven't bought a current CD since I was 15," she said.
