It mainly had to do with the fact that Gioia wanted to perform some of her solo stuff at the shows and the producer said that they are not allowed do anything but EXPOSE material under the name EXPOSE. I have the early Vinyl copy of Exposure that had different singers on some tracks that were replaced by the second pressing

but the vocal chord damage i''ve read/heard about over the years. i saw a brief interview with her about it as well. and there's mention of it in the liner notes to their Greatest Hits cd. "Gioia was forced to leave due to irreparable throat damage".

Gioia did a few solo shows a few years back, she was so cool with the fans. She had a meet and greet afterwards.

I have her solo CD, it's not as commercial as the Expose stuff. It never took off, it was released by Koch Records.

Hard to say, it's very (recent) club sounding. Not 80's oriented.

I prefer the dance pop stuff that Expose was doing on their first 2 albums.

I guess my fave track on her solo CD was her cover of the Kiss track "I was made for loving you". I need to go revisit this.
