Any Jamiroquai fans here? Do you think the dynamite album should of blown up more?
I think it was better than all the shit stuff were saturated with in britain at the moment(and u.s two). The first video off it was fucking awesome!

Perhaps, yes.
Are you refering to the UK or US market. Here in the UK it sold fairly well I think. I like Jamiroquai, but Jay Kay seriously needs to change up the sound a little. Their 'new' single doesn't sound 'new' at all. It sounds exactly the same as everything else they've ever done. I have the last 4 or 5 albums but unless they switch their game up a little I won't be buying anymore. But hey, at least Jamiroquai are remotely 'funky'. Frong forum as well.

Oh and, wrong forum It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

I'm a fan! I gotta admit though,I'm not too crazy about their latest single "Runaway".It sounds like they're just going through the motions, cranking out yet another disco/funk number.

i'm a fan!!! I love Jamiroquai, but I haven't heard the latest single yet. I'll have to take a listen to give an honest opinion. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I really dig the J. Especially their early work. I have to admit the last 2 albums really didn't do it for me, but they make enjoyable music. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

I have his last two albums and love them both. A friend made me a copy of some earlier albums which I thought were simply OK but I love it since he changed his style to something that is right up my alley....disco and funk. Andy is a four letter word.

Hell YES !!
Love JK ! A funk odyssey is my favourite just because of the intro "feels so good" it's amazing and the way it flows in to the next (Little L) very nice !! Dynamite has more better songs on it though the funk is less fat ! Have not heart the new one, is it on I-tunes ? Futuristic Fantasy

I agree, that Jay Kay needs to change his sound. I have the entire Jamiroquai Discography up to Dynamite. Dynamite did not impress me musically, therefore I didn't purchase the CD. However, I did see Jamiroquai in concert when they toured the U.S. in 2005. The concert was sold out and the crowd was more into the songs from the first three releases (EOPE, SC, TWM) than the new material. Promotions and marketing for Dynamite, virtually didn't exist States-side. JK did perform on a couple of the late night talk shows, but that was it.

Jay needs to hit up the drugs again because he really seems uninspired when he is sober...

'A Funk Odyssey' is my favorite Jamiroquai CD.I think it's their most impressive, most consistent, and most vibrant work....the perfect blend of 70s-styled disco and funk with modern-day electronica.Dance tracks like "Feels So Good","Little L" and the Chic-like "You Give Me Something" are reminscent of the best disco songs from the 70s....instantly catchy and infectious. The track "Love Foolosophy",with it's amazing hook-filled chorus, rivals most of the dance songs being released today. But Jamiroquai doesn't stop there. There are a few superb slower tracks too."Corner Of The Earth" and the incredible closing song "Picture Of My Life" are deeply personal and heartfelt. With this album,Jay Kay showed alot of maturity and growth in his songwriting. For those people who like groove-oriented jams with big, funky basslines, this album is a must-have.

The new single is called "Runaway" and you can see the video here: http://www.YouTube.com/wa...nuZz8We7o0 The song isn't bad,it's just nothing new.Same disco/funk groove they've been doing for several years now. They're capable of better.

Glad to see there are other fans who prefer their more recent albums.I didn't even become a fan until their fourth album 'Synchronized',which was the beginning of their disco/dance music phase.

Actually, when you first recommended them to me and told me they were a disco/funk type band, I thought you had lost your mind because I remember seeing them on TV in the mid 1990s and not liking their music at all. It was too slow and jazz influenced. Thank God they changed their style. Andy is a four letter word.

I think we're in the minority, lol. Most fans seem to prefer their early albums, when they were into funk/jazz (similar to the music that Brand New Heavies were doing at the time).

Actually, promoting the album would have been a waste of time and money because radio stations and video channels wouldn't play an album like that anyway. It would threaten their cheap, talentless shit hop artists. Imagine if disco/funk caught on again. A lot of (c)rappers would have a one way ticket back to the gutter. Andy is a four letter word.

The Brand New Heavies is exactly who they reminded me of at the time. I didn't like them either. The last thing I wanted was some "artistic" type jazz. Hell, speed the damn tempo up and get everyone to jamming again. Andy is a four letter word.

Absolutely love their first three albums. I have all of their albums and each one has some great songs on it. It was always a shame to me that Jamiroquai didn't receive more props in the USA. I remember seeing them back in '99 at the Riviera in Chicago and that was one of the BEST concerts I had ever been to. perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

I always buy their stuff.Actually, a great deal of their music helped me through an extremely hard time in my life.Currently,as far as jamiroquai goes,I am digging "(don't give)hate a chance".The only thing I don't have by them right now is the dvd,but that will be rectified soon. They still slam ,but I do love Stuart Zender's bass.
