Absolutely, when you think of singers like Alison Moyet, Martha Wash and Helen Terry, you know it`s not their voices that keeps them from getting the recognition they deserve...

Even today, I still a little piss that Helen Terry never have albums of her own.

She recorded an album called "Blue notes", i have the cd, but it`s not a good album...
However, she released a single called "Lessons in loneliness" after that, i was fortunate enough to find the cd single on ebay, which inlcluded a different version; Lessons in loneliness (lessons learned)", a slow version, and it`s one of her best performances. There was another single released at the same time, called "Fortunate fool", another good song.
A looooong time ago, i started a thread about one of her b-sides; "Laughter on my mind" (written by Culture Club) that was available on a compliation called "Let`s hear it for the girls", so she did record some decent songs, BUT considering what she going for her, it`s not a lot.

I used to have their first album "Upstairs at Eric's" . I liked that album a lot. I haven't listened to the second one. But it's called "You and Me Both"

Kraftwerk is a thread in itself. Without THIS band, there is no synthpop, italo disco, house, techno, electro/electro-funk, freestyle, jungle/d&b, breakbeats, downtempo, EBM, or trance!
