ATTN, Tom Petty Fans -- Re: Mary Jane's Last Dance??? OK, Mary Jane's Last Dance may be my favorite Tom Petty song. It's a cool, soulful romp, but also vaguely melancholy. (Also a cool, if strange, video.) But what the heck is it about?!?!? Some argue Petty's divorce a year earlier. Some say quitting marijuana. Some say it's a generic goodbye to a lover.
Any takers? Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Oh my my oh hell yeah.
The video was kewl too. Tom Petty has that kewl deadpan drawl thing. If you check out Arthur Lee and Love that's the orgin of his style. Not the guy from The Byrds.
