What Per4mer/Artist You'd Want To See Being Portrayed In A Biopic?

Since Ray Charles' biopic was ALL THE RAGE last year, I think Hollywood are putting their blood, sweat and tears(hopefully) on biopics. Whom do you want to see being portrayed in the big screen?

Here's my list:
Lena Horne

Hazel Scott

Aretha Franklin,,,without any Hollywood bullshit. I'm rooting for this one!

Ms.Nina Simone,,,,portrayed by none other than Ms.Mary J Blige

Donny Hathaway,,,,,his story really NEEDS to be told.

Dinah 'Queenie' Washington

Enough with the broadway bullshit. Somebody needs to bring that lady's story into script,,,Lorretta Divine was choosed to play her in a movie but the deal neva landed.

Bessie Smith
-I could see Queen Latifah playing her.

Minnie Riperton

By her daughter(although it would be weird and I think she would mind)

And....

The lovely, Ms.Phyllis Hyman

incognito

Chuck Berry w/Andre 3000 Benjamin
Nina Simone w/Mary J. Blige or Queen Latifah
Betty Davis w/an audition will have to be held for this or Corrine Bailey Rae
Janis Joplin w/Nikka Costa
Jimi Hendrix w/Mark Anthony Jones
Freddy Mercury w/George Michael
The Rolling Stones w/Any look-a-like tribute band that can act

I agree Bessie Smith and Nina Simone nod
Although I don't particularly like him, German composer Richard Wagner might have an interesting -- if disturbing -- story
Scott Joplin
Peggy Lee

It wasn't Lena who changed her mind, she still rooted for Damita Jo. It was her BITCHY daughter who was against the movie(she was the writer of Ms.Horne's autobiography),,,she had all the legal rights for the movie.

To tell you the truth though,,,I couldn't see Janet portraying Lena, becoz:

1) She's not an actress.

2) She's not light skinned like Lena(lets be real, the visiual is important shrug).

I didn`t know that, i thought the super bowl incident made her change her mind.
Ì don`t think of Janet Jackson as an actress (i haven`t even seen poetic justice), but for a Janet fan, it would have been a dream come true lol

I remember seeing the picture from Vanity Fair with Jackson in front of a band, dressed in a dark red gown and white fur, she looked stunning and it was a BEAUTIFUL picture.

Janet (since her story as a Jackson is the only one not made into a movie)
Prince
RickJames
KISS
James Brown
Madonna (a movie that will tell the truth THIS time)
Kylie Minogue
Jackie Wilson (if a movie was never made yet)

BTW, we need a movie that will tell the stories of the rise and fall of Motown & Stax.

i think the ultimate movie would be Elton John
that would have everything Sex, Drugs, Music, Homosexuality, bisexuality
and a wide array of LARGE Glasses
and you know who i think should play elton
god don't strike me but
Justin Timberlake

When he played Elton on red piano, i was truly amazed....
looked exactly like him...

Oh, God yeah. That would be amazing. biggrin
Musically, I love them both, but it would be great to see an unbiased biopic on each of them.

The thing about biopics is you need an unknown actor. Andre 3000 can't be Jimi Hendrix and neither Pink nor Renee Zellweger nor Bette Midler could play Janis because we know them as Andre 3000, Pink, Bridget Jones and Better Midler, respectively. cool

they'd have 2 pull a "tupac ressurection" on Bob. James, and Jimi 'cause a mere portrayal would do these icons no kind of justice....
