Any of you have this album? What is it like and how does it compare to Don't be Cruel?

i got this great funk LP by Bobby Brown

i made this thread and it flopped hard body around but i digress

this LP is great, they just released the worst singles.

The First single should have been - You Ain't Been Loved Right
The second single should have been - Girlfriend

Larry Blackmon did his thing on this LP and even though he reworked Rick James - Seventeen into a drug and social song for Bobby, shit still bangs

i keep seeing copies of king of stage from time to time in the used bins at the record store but i haven't given 'em a listen. next time i see one, i'ma put it on the turntable at the listening station to see what it's like.

also checkout King of Stage song it is written by Smooth Bee of Nice N Smooth fame, he was Bobby's hypeman and background singer during his King Of STage days, before Bobby decide to drop him, and get with Heart N Soul D D D Dance
