EVERYBODY get Natalie Cole`s "Leavin`" NOW!!

Okay, i`ve FINALLY gotten this album, and it`s everything i thought it would be and more....

She does a great job with every song, and gives us the real Natalie on "The more you do it (the more i like it done to me)",
written by Marvin Yancy & Chuck Jackson, the men behind her countless 70s hits, the end is interesting, where she repeat some lines from her signature hit "This will be"; "From now on yeah, from now on...." dancing jig

I like the newly written track "5 Minutes Away".This song is GREAT and it proves that Natalie really should make an album of all new songs for a change.

Yeah, beautiful song, it could be a single... nod
She should have recorded all new songs, and not JAZZ, she said in an interview that she was bored with that smile

Well you know I love it. Leavin' was one of the best performances and I love 5 Minutes Away. Even though I'm tired of cover albums I love her spin on every song. I think she should work with Dallas again on an album of original material.

Yeah, cause they doesn`t sound exactly like the originals, she manages to make them her own.

btw, who sang the original Marvin Yancy/Chuck jackson song? I`d like to hear that one nod

It was sung by a fantastic singer named Ronnie Dyson. It was a hit for him in 1976.You can find his version of "The More You Do It" on this CD.Go to CDUniverse and listen to a sound sample:

"I Just Don't Wanna Be Lonely" has a long history. It was first recorded by Blue Magic in 1973,but it went nowhere. Then,it was covered by The Main Ingredient and became a huge hit.I think Ronnie was the third artist to cover it.

Ronnie was an incredible vocalist. His 1977 album 'Love In All Flavors' is one of my favorite albums. The entire album was produced by Marvin Yancy and Chuck Jackson,so it sounds alot like the great music they were producing for Natalie during this period.Trust me,you need to find this album!!

Sadly,Dyson passed away in 1990.

You know, i was just trying to find a list of songs written by Yancy/Jackson, they did have a unique style...
I found several LPs on ebay, but i can`t find any reviews, not even on rateyourmusic.com omfg
