because barbara comes from the old school style of live performing...like frank senatra and judy garland...its not just about singing...its a "show".

sandra bernhardt seems to be the only person around who still believes in this type of concert/performance.

folks who go see her should know that.

I'm really loving her timeless cd.

Still I have a long prejudice to overcome to fully apretiate her music...I hate label of "gay music" that her music has

Doesn't matter if she talks or sings, it's an assault on the ears.

Imagine the choice - either listen to her limousine liberal politics, or those sissy show tunes. I wouldn't wish that sh!t on my worst enemy.

I didn't even know she had a live album...Seriously, what does she say (other than shit about Bush, I guess). I know that Bruce Springsteen is pretty noitirous about doing the same thing. I think he goes on long-winded tangents about what the songs are about and brings up all sorts of American history related to it.

Her dramatic stuff is good too. She was brilliant in "Nuts". Oh, and did you see her version of "A Star Is Born"? Has a considerable amount of schmaltz to be sure, but a must to check out if you like music movies...

Yeah, but I just read she is supposed to....I wonder if the GW Bush skit goes on there...hopefully it's taped from the performance she told the guy to "shut the fuck up".
