Sure is. That said, NPGSoul may have its many detractors, but I think three of its songs are among the best he's ever written - Wasted Kisses (his darkest, creepiest song), Come On (virtually the last "sex" song he wrote) and The One.
All good songs, but I wouldn't consider them among his best. Rave Un2/Rave In2 had its moments (and a glorious one in Beautiful Strange).
Had Beautiful Strange been on the regular Rave album I would probably still listen to it. I've played it once in about three years. As for The Rainbow Children, I think it's his last great album to date.
Tuneless, offensive, self-serving mess. Nothing but a vanity project. Post-Xpectation he has been coasting though, I agree. His last three albums have been dull by his standards.
I actually think Musicology and 3121, though far from great, were a step in the right direction.

Sure is. Tuneless, offensive, self-serving mess. Nothing but a vanity project. Offensive, yes, in part. Self-serving ... No. They were his three Dylan "born again" albums rolled into one - although the Dylan ones were way better. SNOOZE was a vanity project. Post-Xpectation he has been coasting though, I agree. His last three albums have been dull by his standards.

Yeah, I hear you, but it's not so much about that. He just needed to get his foot back in the door and he's managed to do that with Musicology and 3121. They're nothing special, just straight forward pop albums, each with a few decent tunes. It's what he needed, else he'd have fallen completely from view, and he deserves better than that.

Has anyone here even stop to notice that these allegations of abuse were printed in the London Daily Mirror? It's one of those tabloids that make the National Enquirer look like the New York Times. I'm sure that they had their problems, but I would take all of this info with a grain of salt unless this gets published in the public record and picked up by thesmokinggun.com.

Well, they've made all the broadsheets now, including The Times and The Guardian. Heather Swill's people leaked the details to the press to get her some public sympathy.
