Will these sorry excuses of hip-hop/r&b producers ever consider using another new keyboard or synth on the block?

As much as I hate Crunk, at least Lil'Jon has used other synths normally associated with electronic music. But everyone else is using that damn Korg Triton!

You know that this happens all the time.

There was the Yamaha DX-7 phase and the Roland D-50 phase.
It's just something you'll have to wait out until another keyboard sound becomes popular.

Then everybody and his brother will jump on that and use it to death. smile

I'm not a musician so I don't know the names of these different instruments or which is which. However, I do know what I like. I love the type of keyboards, synthesizers, or whatever the hell they were that Prince used early in his career. However, the best sounding keyboard over a weak sounding drum machine and fake sounding bass is still going to sound like shit.

OBERHEIM OB-X was Prince's main synth for the 1999 album.
