From what I know, they were going to do some stuff for the Glitter album...Mariah wanted some MPLS sound on it. But they ended not working.
Some of the flyte tyme produced tracks have a zest of Mpls! Glitter is such an underrated album imo!

They'll need to meet eventually, she's a big fan of his and a friend, and might i add a lady with a big background on the music scene.
Her remake of The Beautiful Ones is one of her best jams to date. Such good folks need to team up and save what they could save from the crap going on in the industry today and leave us some real MUSIC

For the last decade or so, Mariah has been steadily pimping, not to mentioned pimped by, the crap you speak of. The Normal Whores Club

People are bound to have different opinions i totally understand.
I get how fans usually feel hardly about their favorite artist being covered, then for the other artist to be praised for it, it's normal 'cause i know i ain't so happy either when that happens to my fav even if i did like the remake, it'll remain as a guilty pleasure. That's how it often works as for your 2nd quote, I'm not usually one to like certain artists based on others' praise but to give her credit, girl's been praised by Prince himself so to speak, might i add singin bitches like Aretha Franklin (who covered MC live), Patti LaBelle, Chaka, The Clarks, Stevie, Anita etc etc I've covered her entire catalogue of LPs/B-Sides/Remixes/Live Performances, etc. The commercial side to Mariah is what is so obvious to the public and they tend to judge her by it, in addition to her big ol' flashy image, which she actually asked for it LOL but handling it well [Edited 10/18/06 10:23am]

I love her take on The Beautiful Ones but Sisqo's gotta go. Even Prince hated Dru Hill's involvement, said it wasn't ment to be a duet. But dug Mariah's presence never the less.
I was rooting for their collaporation when it didn't end up in Glitter. I thought that she may include it in Charmbracalet,,,only to find that she didn't. I gave up rooting to hear it. I heard many titles "Eve-Rything", "The Fortune Teller" and supposedly a produced cover of "Would You Love To Love Me" in addition to that title.
