because taste is subjective and in the public eye general consensus usually wins... and as of right now, Enjoy wins!!! Um fans are the ones who are decided what the next single should be... NOT THE "general consensus" ... so of course they would like that song... I like it too... but not for commerical release.... but I will bet everyone on here if she releases enjoy it will only do okay on the RnB charts... because that song is too typical to release and its not a hit.. that the general public will like... and arent you a moderator... so why are you instigating people... arent you suppose to try to bring peace and order on this forum....

Why would fans decide what the next single will be? If the die-hard fans could have made S.EX a hit, then they would have. Apparently, it's the general public that's not "buying" S.EX. So sure, fans can decide, but that doesn't mean the general public is going to feel the same way. And for a hit, most artists need some casual listeners and/or former fans to buy-in to their product. So I don't think it's a good idea to discount and/or discredit the general public's opinion. At this point, I'm not sure anything is going to "save" the cd, really. It might be too late to appeal to the pop audience or even pop radio. I think a lot of people outside of Janet's fandom--including but not limited to radio personalities just don't think 20 Y. O. is a very good cd just based on the first two releases.

She'd better release something soon, before her CD fades away.It has already slipped to Number 19 in just three weeks.I think Virgin should rush-release "Enjoy" as a single, just in time for the holidays.A strong single could help the album, especially during the Christmas shopping season.

the next singles should be...
"daybreak" "enjoy" than "this body", cuz i love it when Ms. Jackson rocks out.

I would say Enjoy but she may as well cut her losses now.
The record is fucked. It's her weakest in year so I don't really have all that much sympathy for her. Even though it is miles better than the shit that does sell like Beyonce...

Get It Out Me is the only track I've found myself going back to and not having to FF past the first minute to get to an interesting point in the song. And even then I still don't like it that much.

I think what ruined her album was Call on Me,. I have had several conversations with folks, even Janet fans, and no one really loved the song, they didn't hate it, but the song was nothing write home about.
Now in terms of trying to attract a pop/younger audience, the song, With U, has the best chance to grab a wider demographic. Enjoy, is the single that us Janet fans love. Perhaps she can release both; lord knows she needs to, have a B side or something like that. The main video could be With U...and then towards the end, they could switch to Enjoy. That way they R promoting both singles...this needs to be done immediately. The only problem is that most record companies stop promoting an album after the first single, let alone the second single, especially if the album didn't push enough units. Janet mey have to dig into Jermaine's pocket (and he's got plenty of cash) to make this happen...it looks like Virgin is done with her.

Janet's next single should be:
"(Career) Suicide Is Painless". There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently
