New John Legend cd... It seems alot of people on here don't like John Legend.. why? I just listened to his new cd and I really like it. Not as radio friendly as his debut, but a more complete album in my opinion. Very retro sounding.. (sorry I hate the term neo-soul)
So I was wondering what your opinion is of Legend?

I preordered a copy of his new album and I think the album is going to be a little more diverse and imaginative than his debut, just from listening to the single Save Room. I like John Legend's style and flavor, even though he can oversing a song a bit. I was also feeling the Get Lifted album, so i'm definitely excited about this project. Check me out and add me on:

i don't like him because he's boring and refers to himself as Legend which is pretty arrogant.

I Think artists like John Legend provide a bridge between commercial radio artists, and the more creative ones, that arent as accessible. Hearing someone like him on the radio opens alot of doors to similar artists who don't have the push that radio gives. And besides, arrogant he may be, but he is not near as cocky as his boy Kanye!
I'd rather hear John Legend on the radio than Chris Brown anyday...

No more and certainly not as arrogant than Puffy. I'm curious about the album so I'll check it out. I heard PDA and that was pretty decent. I think he sings a little too much in the same vein but definitely better than alot of what's coming from contemporary R&B males today. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I don't really like his stuff because to me he's boring as an entertainter and strikes me as as trying to be an updated version of early Lionel Ritchie...without the great original songs. But that's just me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So I was wondering what your opinion is of Legend? I haven't heard the entire thing yet, but I love Save Room. I am into his music, find it refreshing and different from the regular bullshit R&B being released these days. Love the fact that he is a musician and not a computer generated music sing alonger(Is that a legal term?).

I don't like his voice. He reminds me of thoese people in high school that think they can sing. And the people at their church thinks that they're the best thing since slice bread. And you're just like "meh". Thank You San Alejo for getting rid of my enemies. :-0
Thank You SO much Saint Expedite for your help Thank You Virgin de Guadalupe for helping my friend Thank You Saint Anthony for returning my wallet to me untouched

I dig this cat. You guys should check out his first 2 cd's when he was calling himself by his REAL name John Stevens. Now that's some good stuff.

Just previewed John Legend's CD and I love it! Say what yall want but it's a breathe of fresh air of fresh new music -FINALLY!
I'm hearing something retro this time, kind of remind me of a lot of the 60's type music mix with R&B funk. I'm definately picking this one up. I've been dissapointed by all the CDs that dropped in September that turned out to be crap, but I'm digging this one. I really suggest giving it a listen. [Edited 10/22/06 16:10pm]

I like him because he's unique compared to many of today's artits. I've ordered the new CD and from what I've heard it's gooood. Something that puts you in a good mood. I can't wait 'til I get to see him live later this year
