Sarah MacLachlan 'Wintersong'....BEAUTIFUL!! Any Sarah fans out there? She just released 'Wintersong' her first holiday album...Im not a huge Xmas music fan (working music retail for 7 holiday seasons will do it to ya)...but I love Sarah and this album is so beautiful!
I picked it up on Tuesday and havnt stopped listening to it...she does a bunch of standards like 'Silent Night' and 'I'll Be Home For Christmas' (Diana Krall is the pianst on 'Christmas Time Is Here') but my favorites are her take on Lennon's 'The War Is Over' and her stunning cover of Joni Mitchell's 'River' that she just performed on ELLEN....there's a new song...the title track that is another beautiful ballad along the lines of 'Angel' and 'Answer'....this is a great gift for her fans and I hope to get in to an exclusive holiday show she's doing here in LA next month.....pick it up y'all..it's the perfect late night/home alone holiday album! peace Every minute of last night is on my face today.... | |
