Ruben Studdard - "Change Me" Did R. Kelly write this dribble? Terrible lyrics. He's got a good voice, but it seems once he got past the Luther impersonations he doesn't have much to offer.

He needs better material. These wimpy-ass, sissy songs(like "I'm Sorry") aren't cutting it.

Wimpy is right. It seems he or the record label (or a combination of both) don't know what to do with him.

Yeah, it's as if the label said: "He's so large and menacing... We need to soften him up and make sure he's not too threatening for his target market... We don't want folks thinking he's a rapper..."

Those lyrics are pretty bad. The first few lines sound like that Sorry 2004 song he had. He looks like Shug Knight with sunglasses on. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

http://www.youtube.com/wa...f6UEZYF9Hk Well, I liked his first album. I liked how it wasn't the Luther impersonation people thought it would be (and some of the songs like "After the Candles Burn" are hot!). He'll never be one of the great soul singers, but his voice is pleasant, his smile is infectious, and he seems like a really nice person. I saw that fat fuck in Miami Beach (Ruben not Suge) last year. His gut led and he followed - or waddled. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

I think he was in - ur - an Iraq war camo tee shirt with 215 or whatever the fuck his area code is emblazoned across the front, just like he wore on "AI". In other words: "Look at me! I'm that fat fuckeroo won "American Blandol". [Edited 10/20/06 11:15am] There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Seems pretty typical of any song I've heard from him. He can sing, though. Not bad production (rather 80s sounding).
