VICTORY was THRILLER fallout - Marlon's "BODY" is painfully a "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" rip-off and "TORTURE", "WAIT" sound so dated now. I still get shivers from that monster BASS on "STATE of SHOCK" and Randy's "ONE MORE CHANCE" is a timeless classic - which JANET covered in 1993. Kudos 2 TOTO for providing most of the actual music on the album and yes, that cover was awesome in it's day, but MARLON (far left) isn't anywhere near that tall in reality nor has TITO (extreme right) ever been that slim... With MJ's career in shambles now, maybe the time is ripe 4 anutha JACKSONS reunion album... I definitely agree. Destiny and Triumph are the two highest points of the Jacksons family, IMHO. I mean, the 1978-1981-period was where they were at their funkiest peak. I don't know what the heck they were trying to do with the VICTORY record. Have you all checked this out yet because if you haven't, I recommend you all cop it: truly a groovy concert! Check me out and add me on:

truly a groovy concert! This needs to be on DVD. The Jacksons/J5's catelogue is not respected enough. Where are the SE remasters? Where are all the DVD's? There is nothing out there. I wish they would just put some fucking concerts on DVD. | |
