Do you use just one parenthesis?

Next time, make sure you copy the entire definition.

Alright, you know what? I'm gonna take back everything I said, if you Mr.CMTally can tell me what song(s) if ANY that you have played on that ANY one of us have discussed at ANY time on these boards. I wanna know which LP or CD that has YOU on it, which can back up your utter dis-respect for "Gifted" albeit "illiterate" as YOU call them, Musicians & or sidemen or session players. I swear you will NEVER hear me come at you sideways again, about Music or any of the "Other" arts.

PLEASE , GIVE US A LINK / UPLOAD ??
Otherwise , you're just a Message Board wanna-be "Quincy Jones"

*waits patiently, with fucked up spelling & all*

Oh, and my personal apologies to "Thekidsgirl" for this post taking a slightly STUPID turn. this "was" a Great Topic

btw... I'll take Walter "JUNIE" Morrison for $1000 , Alex ?

Where's Kidsgirl? lol

If I could just interject something here, when kidsgirl stated that Prince "writes" I took it to mean that he writes songs, meaning lyrics. She never said he writes music. She never said he reads music. She only said that he writes.

And that he does.

I'll butt out now. giggle

Well, with all due respect, I can tell you the top cats in Nashville have been known to be cruel to wanna-be session cats who are killers but illiterate.

It might be snobbery, but it's a fact of life in many places: If you can't read (and read well), prepare to be dissed.

As for total musicianship, these four get my votes:

Quincy Jones

Terence Blanchard

Marcus Miller

Jonatha Brooke
