The Legendary Hit Factory Is No MORE!

Got this from another board:

History being torn down…June 2006, after buying the Hit Factory for an estimated $17.5million, real estate firm HF sponsor Corporation announces plans to transform the structure into a luxury condominium with 27 units.

Mary sophomore album "My Life" was recorded there. Biggie entire album was recorded there, Stevie Wonder- Songs in Key of life was recorded there. Toni and Whitney recorded there so many more have recorded there, On 1/6/94 albums and songs prod. Or mastered at the hit factory rake in 41 Grammies.

My friend Jerry Ragovoy...

...was the original owner of The Hit Factory.

It's the current New York State of Mind. What was once the fabulous Fillmore East...

...is now a bank and condos.

What was once the historic Cafe Au Go Go and Garrick Theatre...

...has been reduced to joints that inhabit a basic strip mall.

That sounds about right, Nobody cares about music as much anymore...so, why should they care about WHERE it was recorded ? *Damn Shame*

This makes me sad. It was one of my many childhood dreams to record a song there. (If not tons...) sad

However, thanks for the amazing music.
