9/5 - A new what are you listening to now thread!

I think we exhausted the last one. So I'll kick off a new one for this week.

Let The Drums Speak-Bah Samba Feat. The Fatback Band [Phil Asher Remix]
This song gets me going in the morning. Some great house music on this disc.

Erotic City by George Clinton and P-Funk is interestingly good.

Gorillaz - Demon Days.

I rediscovered it this weekend and now it's my favoritest album of all time for this week.

War - Why Can't We Be Friends

I just discovered this band today ..... I went to the local used-CD store and the guy who works there knows what kind of music I dig and he recommended this band.... I previewed this particular album because I thought the title looked familiar smile .... of course I'm familiar with the title track and "Lowrider"... I just never realised what band made these songs until now.... So I immediately decided to buy the CD..... I am currently listening to "Leroy's Latin Lament" from the album....

Wow. Where did you dig that one up from? What did her music sound like. I am sure I heard a single back in the day, but can't recall her sound.

I found it at a used cd shop and only paid $1.99!
She's got a mellow vibe, without being boring. I love her voice
My best friend says it reminds him of trip-hop but I don't know?
