Looks intruiging. The last live jazz CD I picked up was Billie, Ella and Carmen live at Carnegie Hall (Blue Note). Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016
Props will be withheld until the showing and proving has commenced. -- Aaron McGruder

The CD is about 24 tracks long, and appears as if it is a compilation of a Carnegie series from around that time. I haven't thumbed through the liner notes yet. I like Ella's "Lullaby of Birdland," Billie's "Nice Work If You Can Get It" and Carmen's "Perdido." The sound is good and you basically get 3 sets for the price of one. I'd cop it. Speaking from the pure layman's perspective, Ella's voice is as precise and versatile as you can get, and Carmen's is lush and warm. I think you'd dig Carmen moreso than Ella. Even though Miss McRae is Billie's protegee,,,I haven't really got the chance to check her out. Her standrad Dream Of Life(which Lady sang earlier) is one of the handful I'm fimiliar with. I also checked this per4mance lately: http://www.youtube.com/wa...8q81ES0hqw What a beautiful sista she was
