I love this song anyway, it's just a beautiful inspiring song so the remake didn't bother me. That haunting melody is still strong.

I finally saw Bono (when did he cut his hair?) and Alicia perform this live on Oprah and it really touched me. Alicia played and sang while Bono stood by and at one point he just laid his head on the piano--cool candid moment.

Alicia is involved in working with children in Africa but didn't know that she is the ambassador of the Keep A Child Alive organization. Anyway, I like to see young people who actually get out and do and hopefully inspire.

Aside from the song Oprah must be pretty rich to be buying up 10 of everything..

It was very moving ~ I was in tears watching it.
