MISS JONES VS. TINA KNOWLES: Hot 97 jock suspended for two weeks after dissing Beyonce’s mama…to her face.

The latest Hot 97 drama with Miss Jones (every month there’s something) occurred last Friday during an encounter with Beyonce and her mother, Tina, which resulted in the host being suspended for the next two weeks.

A longtime critic of the singer, Jones was asked by management to leave work early to avoid any confrontation with the Knowleses, who were visiting another radio station in the same building to promote Beyonce’s upcoming album, “B’Day.” But a time mixup caused Jones and the Knowles camp to come face to face in the hallway.

Hot 97 jock DJ Envy recounted the entire showdown on air.

In a nutshell, Beyonce shook Jones’ hand and tried to give her a Hollywood kiss on the cheek. Jones, in the words of one of the jocks, gave Beyonce “the Heisman” and said she doesn’t do kisses. Beyonce accepted it and moved past Jones, but her mother wasn’t able to hold her tongue.

According to Envy, Tina said: “I just wanna thank you for talking about me and my daughter everyday while you’re on the air. It just boosts her ratings.”

Jones reportedly fired back: “Actually you should thank M.A.C. makeup for hiding all that oldness you have on your face. Now you look like the joker.”

Hot 97 responded by promptly handing Jones a two-week suspension.

She shouldn't have gotten suspended for that.

I think Miss Jones was dissin' Danity Kane too.


I say good for her.

And isn't this the same Miss Jones that had a single out some years ago, "where you wanna be?" or something.

I hate Miss Jones with a deep-seeded passion. She also hung up on Christina Milian because she wouldn't answer a question regarding being dropped from her label. No matter what, that's just rude. She's just a beyotch.

She thinks having this bad rep is going to put her name out there as a big bad jock. She's only burning bridges in a small very tight industry. Even Wendy Williams doesn't curse people out and hang up on them.

Say what you will about Howard Stern but he knows when to turn it on and off. He usually rejects a lot of guests probably because he doesn't want to start that much shit and just wants people that will have a good time but also give some good dirt!

You're absolutely right Vinny. One's agent will know exactly what to expect on Stern's show, so if it's too hot, the timid stay away. However in, these days of freewheeling satellite radio I really don't associate Stern with those clusterfucks on terrestial radio.

and not only that, but the way she was probing, she had even managed to imply that cristina milian was in court over her label issues, and still, full well knowing that, she kept on trying to push that child into surrendering up gossip of a legal nature that could have have gotten her into trouble or could adversely affect her legal case. and cristina was cordial as she could be, but was trying to sidestep those questions (because i think she was supposed to be there on the line talking about a new movie or something)...and when she wouldn't offer up the tea, miss jones hung up on her and said some nastiness like "you do not dictate the direction of my interviews" or something to that effect...it was just really ghetto. and i do not mean ghetto fabulous, but ghetto tacky

Wow, I cant believe Miss Jones has gotten this bad!!! I remember her trying to be the neutral one on the Star & Bucwild morning show back n da day!!!

I've never listened to Miss Jones show, But after reading what some of you have said, I've noticed that she mainly beefs with other women. Has she ever got into it with any men? If she does'nt, I wish she'd piss off someone like Laila Ali.

To make matters worse, employees at the station said Miss Jones was actually taking names of the other workers who normally go out of their way to say hi to her but didn't that day becasue Mrs. Knowles was there.

Whateva. What's she gonna do? Beat them up after work? How many times can someone get suspended and returned to work without being permanently let go? After the infamous Tsunami Song, she'd be gone for good.
