The Bodyguard

what do u guys think of this movie??
i was watching the dvd for this last night and i enjoyed it.
whitney is a great actress however i felt a little uneasy with all the cursing she did in this movie. not to mention the soundtrack is one of the best evr!!!
"run to you" "queen of the night" "i have nothing" "I will always love you" are fucking great tracks. Titanic sucks compared to this

There is an undeniable appeal about that movie. I think Kevin Costner is one of the most boring actors alive but there's something about him when they're up in the cabin and he jumps through the window with the gun... then when he's in the forest listening for the killer... whooo. Or when he's watching the video of I Wanna Run to You in the room having a drink...or the filming of Queen of the Night...

The soundtrack is great. Some of Whitney's best vocals. Rachel Marron was practically a real person.
Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

i agree.

as far as the film. i liked it. it was a good debut for Whitney Houston as an actress. not to far of a stretch for character preparation. lol
and it includes perhaps best song; "i have nothing". for some reason i remember hearing rumours about a part 2. not sure what the plot would've been though. confused

Actually I enjoyed the movie. I wish she had started out as an actress and never got into singing.

A GREAT movie with Bodyguard in the title is....

My Bodyguard!

EVERYONE GO see this, I promise you will like it! :

It is sorta a kid movie, with bully's, but it is very good!

http://www.amazon.com/My-...UTF8&s=dvd

Plot Synopsis: Clifford Peache is the new kid in Lake View High School. Faced with all the stress that role entails he makes his situation worse by insulting Moody, the leader of a group of toughs who extort lunch money from kids. These punks pretend to be bodyguards for the kids to protect them from Linderman who, it is rumored, killed his brother in cold blood. Clifford befriends the sullen Linderman and hires him as his bodyguard. When Moody ups the ante, Linderman must decide whether fighting for what he believes in, with his haunted past and image, is justified.

cool

Agreed. smile

This dropped when I was in elementary school and someone else in my family got the soundtrack, but I played it the most.

One of my favorite movies ever nod Whitney was wonderful, and you`re right about the soundtrack, it`s brilliant!! Her rendition of "Jesus loves me" is one of my favorite songs cloud9

Did you know this movie was planned already in the mid-1970s, Diana Ross and Ryan O`Neal were to star in "The bodyguard"...

Based on the soundtrack and love story between Houston and Costner's characters, it's a nice movie. Based on the overall storyline and characterization, however, I thought it left something to be desired.

Didn't care for the movie or the soundtrack until several years later, when I saw dozens of drag queens do songs off this album. Now it's more fun to watch.
