Bob Dylan's Toque Hey all,
was listening to Love Minus Zero/No Limit where he mentions his "black toque" and it struck me that the word may actually be used outside of The Great White North. Now, Dylan was from Upper Minnesota so it's understandable if they picked up some of our hoser lingo. Is there someone here from the north-midwest who can say they've heard the term used outside of a Canadian/Hokcey giveaway context? Or any other region of America? Curious aboot this one...

In which line do you hear this reference? I've listened to that song god knows how many times, and I've never heard anything about a black toque. Or are you taking the piss?

[Edited 10/6/06 7:54am] yeah, its a knit wool/fleece winter cap. i just always thought of it as Canadian slang, and was curious where else it was commonly used [Edited 10/6/06 17:34pm]
