Any marilyn manson fans?(do you have MA)

hello. I just got the album last week.

There's some really annoying shit that could of been changed to improve it.

The echoing on nearly every damn track is annoying as fuck. Also the over dramatic vocals; 'i'm not mechaaaniccaall'.

What's really getting on my nerves is manson doesn't write songs. He just writes words that don't ryhme or flow. Go to a manson lyric page and you'll see.

I have also ordered AS. That will be here next week.

YES I'M ANAL, can't help it man. It just pisses me off when albums could be better with a few obvious adjustments.

MANSON MAKE YOUR LYRICS RHYME INTO A SONG FOR GOD DAMN SAKE!

this is still my favorite album of his. i love the glam/bowie influence that covers whole album.

listen to "i don't like the drugs" and try to not hear "fame".
now i know what this is all about. now i know exactly what i am.

what do you mean "no one caught that?" it was practically the selling point when it came out. and he was doing covers of things like "Golden Years" at the time, so it's not like he was hiding from it either.

Personally, I love Mechanical Animals. Bowie himself nailed it when he said that it was a very AMERICAN take on Ziggy.

I love how MA is the excessive, capitalist counterpoint to Antichrist Superstar's tale of neo-facism. The character of Omega is a limelight loving narcissist, revelling in the American Dream, whereas AS was an isolated facist consumed by his own hateful ways. MA worked as a beautiful flip side of the same coin. Manson claims that MA is actually a prequel to AS, with Holy Wood as a prequel to MA, making the whole thing a sort of backwards trilogy.

He has a cover of "This Is Halloween" that will be on the Nightmare Before Christmas tribute album.

Manson is a writer. Unlike most "lyricists" most of Manson's words could stand on their own because of the imagery in them. I like that they don't always rhyme, because few things that Manson has ever done are neat and cleaned up.

MM is one of my favorite rock bands ebcause they were able to invent and reinvent themselves a few times and were successful at it. I loved the image they had around the MA time.

Does anyone know if he/they are making any records? I was on the homepage a few months ago and all it was was the homepage, none of the links worked.

you think David Bowie never assimilated any other people's ideas into his work? he's practically made a career of it.

He even admitted that!

He used to get random books, cut words out and make songs; that's where his early lurics came from. He was showing this on video in a documentary!
