Someone said Jay Kay isn't pleased with a Greatest Hits release but I'm looking 4ward 2 this one!! excited

As always such albums can be discussed:
-Half the man shoud be on every release(not only the Japanese),it's a classic!
-Where is King for a day???Same as above!
There is only one track from Synkronized and Return of the spacecowboy,so those 2 tracks should be included.

I hope Space Cowboy will be the single-version and that some older songs are remastered, that would make my day!

One little personal fav that hasn't been mentioned;Light Years,it would have been a great opportunity 4 a lot of people 2 get 2 know the old Jamiroquai, insteed of the obvious hits of Funk Odyssey
(but no You give me something ??) And Mr. Moon and... lol

The new song "Runaway" will be released as a single.Part of this song leaked a few days ago and a fan placed it on his myspace page, but it has since been removed.Described as a funky dance track, here's part of the lyrics that a fan thinks she has heard:

Can't you feel it
I'm stuck inside a hurricane
chasing rainbows
Can't you see I've gone insane
I wanna be a free man
but I'm standing on this crazy wheel...

Can't you see I just want to runaway
people around running me down,I can't stand
I just want to get away,I just want to get away

hmmm

BUM. That was the song that first made me like Jamiroquai.

Oh well, I might buy it. The only album I don't have is Travelling Without Moving cos I didn't like most of the singles from that.

I bought the Virtual Insanity single before the album was released. I hated all the other singles. Cosmic Girl was the most overplayed bollocks of the year, especially the crappy video.

It was explained to me that Japanese CDs most so much that I guess its cheaper for Japanese people to buy imports (from America or Europe or whatever) or maybe even bootlegs, so in order to entice people to buy the domestic editions, they have extras.

Not really. I loved the first 2 albums, but by the time Virtual Insanity was released everyone bought the third album. Kind of annoyed me that I loved VI and then 2 years later it was still charting around the world. It was a good thing he came back soon enough with Synkronized which I loved.

Yeah,Synkronized is better than Travelling...
wich had more succes thanx 2 VI.
Synkronized is one of my fav's,the grooves are much stronger, couldn't believe it didn't do as well. But his first is still one of his best,Space Cowboy also but the production/sound isn't that good.
I dídn't like Dynamite that much, don't know why,it's just sounds like something he has done be4.

I hope U're right about the DVD,will buy that first!Much better choice!

from the funkin website:

After much recent confusion over tracklistings and details of the forthcoming High Times greatest hits album (because of incorrect tracklistings at different online stores),Jamiroquai.com has confirmed details of what will be available in the UK on 13 November.

The CD audio album will be released in two editions:

*A regular single CD containing 19 tracks (which include the new songs "Runaway" and "Radio") and no bonus "un-released track" as listed on many online store websites. This mistake comes from the shop's interpretation of the information provided to them by Sony/BMG.

*A special edition double CD release with the first CD being the same as the regular album (19 tracks) and the second CD being a 10-track bonus remix CD.

The DVD-video release (sold separately from the CD) will contain 25 full-length music videos, including the video for "Black Capricorn Day" (which was not listed on retailer websites).Full tracklists for the three 'High Time' releases are available on Jamiroquai.com
.

I know some of their stuff. The only albums I even paid attention where Synkronized and A Funk Odyssey. A great friend of mine from college loved them. So
when I went to study on her apartment she would pop Synkronized for us to listen.

Still they never captivate me to buy an album...

Guess I'll try them with this compilation. But there's no Supersonic or King for a day sad

I was such a fan with the first two albums, but like with most retro artists, like Kravitz, the trick becomes boring quite quick.

When Stuart Zender left the band the overall sounds suffered and turned too smooth for me.

Fond memories of seeing them perform at North Sea Jazz back in the day...
