I wish Brooke would release some of her own music that she had compose on her piano at home. There's a lot more to this woman beside being a pretty Amazon & a OK dancer.

Judging by the video, Scott Storch (who made these beats) is going to ruin her career.

Storch just does what he gets paid to do. If her career gets ruined, its her label's fault...along with her own for singing those cookie-cutter songs instead of fighting for substance. Pink told her label she'd go back to work at McDonalds before she'd let them ruin her - now look what she gets to do.

So true, and recently i read an interview with AMERIE (who i love and gets no respect) , but she has just about completed her third cd which is out in early 2007, and the single in November, but she was saying how she had "hip" producers and songs thrown at her by her label (Sony) and she turned it all down, and is working on her own producting and some with cee-loo, but the label because of this action, pulled some $$ out of the promotion they were going to do. So really labels dont encourage their artists to grow at all, and yes i called Amerie an artist, mainly because she puts pen to paper and writes and also has her mind on her career and not the charts and what people want.

Great point. Pink's career has lasted 4 albums thus far. But right now Brooke is having problems just getting the debut album release.

Agreed. But I don't think that Brooke is nowhere near as talented as Pink is. Brooke Hogan is another Britney Spears.

She probably has a bit more to offer than Britney, talent wise. She is at least, properly trained musically in piano and guitar. But people keep forgetting, these days, if you want a record deal and promotion behind you to make a career in the pop world as a 17 yr. old you don't have any leverage the first time out. Which is why, for example, Pink was mareketed as a racially ambiguous r&b singer in the cookie cutter format of what was poular at that time when she first burst onto the scene. After she cut some hits and her label recouped her advance, she had the ability to negotiate with her label bosses on what direction she wanted to go next. And make no mistake, though she's not selling as many units as she did with the 1st 2 records, she's still able to retain her independence because making her label dough. She works her ASS OFF doing performance and promotion overseas and continues to sell records here and sell out tours like shes the 2nd coming of the messiah. Brooke Hogan has a several million dollar record deal that had an advance of what? $400, 000 ? Until the label gets back all of that money, they're gonna be like, "look girlie, put your litte blue guitar down and get up here and shake your moneymaker to some looped beats laced over teenie romance lyrics about young love and some boy you saw at the club" wink

i do too, but only a little bit lol...i grew up with parents who treated me the same way, and i think it ended up helping me keep a cool head as an adult.of course there were maybe one or two years where i behaved crazy after i went out into the world on my own, but i think i've always kept my cool headed values, even in the midst of 14 years of fashion industry (and occasional rock&roll) partying. sleeping with my boss or my best friends lover? um-um, no way! backstabbing or being cruel to people to get ahead or satisfy my own ego. nope. coke? smack? ooooh, and at work no less?! none for me thanks! but it's a trip to watch other people do it around me, though lol . there are many ways that lockdown can mess you up (look at how madonna USED TO behave before she became a parent, before she setttled down and became human lol), but ultimately, given how crazy everything is these days, it could work out well for a girl's ultimate benefit wink
