VAN MORRISON vs JAMES TAYLOR vs CAT STEVENS

Which one gets you off...?
You've got a HUGE hole in your record collection unless you have these classics:

Wild Nights
Morning Has Broken
Peace Train
Moonshadow
The First Cut Is The Deepest

Carolina On My Mind
Fire and Rain
Country Road
You've Got A Friend
How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)
Shower The People

Bright Side Of The Road
Gloria
Moondance
Brown Eyed Girl
Domino
Wild Night
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Isel

I have two Cat Stevens cd's... then I have a compilation cd with a few of his not included those two.
I have Teaser and the Firecat, and Tea for the Tillerman.
Another song I love is "Boy with the Moon and Star on his Head."

I would also love to buy the soundtrack to the movie Harold & Maude, but I haven't been able to find it. According to a search--it's never been release??

I really admire Yusuf Islam even though he is obviously an extremely controversial figure. That guy just gave-up everything to pursue his spiritual beliefs--whether one agrees with them or not. To me, Yusuf is a true activist for many noble causes and advocate for peace. Yeah, he is a devout Muslim, but he is no longer the extremist he once was. He has really taken a journey with his life. I just really admire him for more than his music.

I read here that he's going to have a new cd out soon? I looked at his site, but I can't remember the release date. I'll look again.

I also love the cover art for the two cd's I have. I think Yusuf designed that as well? I looked but couldn't find the art credits.

Van is heads and shoulders above either of the other two--he's much more complex, and his sentimental side is never cloying.

Compare and contrast? I wouldn't know where to start with these 3. The only thing I can find in common is that they've experienced a well-deserved longevity and they could never be 'over-appreciated'.

I'm most familiar with Van, and I've come to love his soulful / spiritual - romantic music as much as his poppier hits.

I regret not getting into Cat. I grew up with various compilations my parents had. I only began to seek him out when I heard the music from Harold & Maude, which I couldn't find either (!). But now you've put the thought in my head...

I don't have any of those records neutral
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

I'm not a fan of Cat Stevens whatsoever, but I do love Van and James. I have a few cd's of both.
