FAVORITE COMMODORES ALBUM

Picking a favorite commodore album is like picking your favorite
foods. I am currently listening to the Hot On the Tracks cd.
I love girl i think the world about you(yeoww), High on Sunshine
Just to be close to you, come inside, fancy dancer(yeoww)
Lionel had that yeoww thing down back then.
I also like the caught in the act album with this is your life
and slippery when wet. Of course their self title album with zoom,
brick house, easy, funny feeling, and squeeze the fruit was probably
their most successful. I liked the midnight magic album, heroes, and
in the pocket but those were not quite as good as machine gun all
the way up to their self title album.
Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

The self-titled album from 1977 is their masterpiece, followed closely by 'Hot On The Tracks'.

I don't have any Commodores albums except a greatest hits collection and the "Live" album. I love that "Live" album from start to finish though.

(1) Hot On The Tracks

This is my second favorite Commodores album.Released in the summer of 1976,this album is jam-packed.The opening track "Let's Get Started" really brings the funk! The mellow midtempo jam "Girl I Think The World About You" is excellent!!!!! This great song could have been a single. The next track "High On Sunshine" almost was a single, but Motown chose another amazing track instead, the stunning"Just To Be Close To You".Four incredible songs right there! But wait, the guys are just getting started. This album also contains the funky hit single "Fancy Dancer" and "Come Inside",another funk gem.

In many ways, this album paved the way for their ultimate masterpiece....the self-titled album from 1977 containing the classics "Brick House","Easy" and "Zoom".

I'm gonna transfer these old Commodores albums to CD,since it's unlikely that Motown will ever put this stuff on CD mad
