Inspiration at it's best.
We'll be waiting for the review. Let's all do like Pete wrote and "Pick up my guitar and play"..... Here's a little classic "Beck-Ola". http://www.youtube.com/wa...xB3MfHk4E] [Edited 9/21/06 15:59pm] "The first time I saw the cover of Dirty Mind in the early 80s I thought, 'Is this some drag queen ripping on Freddie Prinze?'" - Some guy on The Gear Page

I've never heard a single thing by Holdsworth, but I know he's really revered among players. Does he mostly do the jazz-fusion thing?

Pretty much. There's one that you might consider... ...None Too Soon The closest i've heard him get to straight Jazz "swing". He covers a Coltrane tune (Countdown), a couple by Joe Henderson (Isotope & Inner Urge), one by Django Reinhardt (Nuages), an Irving Berlin piece (How Deep Is The Ocean?), and even a Beatles tune (Norwegian Wood). I think you might like it. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

Here's the setlist Beck did at the Udo Festival in Japan (July 2006) 1. Beck's Bolero 2. Stratus 3. You Never Know 4. Cause We've Ended As Lovers *** 5. Behind The Veil 6. Nadia 7. Angel (Footsteps) 8. Scatterbrain 9. Big Block 10. Star Cycle 11. People Get Ready 12. Goodbye Pork Pie Hat / Brush With The Blues 13. Blue Wind 14. Somewhere Over The Rainbow ... Proto Cosmos Love it when Allan plays with a keyboard player so that people can hear his incredible chord voicings. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 [Edited 9/21/06 20:07pm] "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Just saw Jeff Beck in NYC, it was a great show. Make sure to stop by the merch stand - Beck's selling an "official bootleg" cd for 15$, available at shows only. The disc was recorded on tour in April. Well worth it...

http://www.youtube.com/wa...HXLB_mbPFw http://www.youtube.com/wa...ed&search= Love Eric Johnson - I actually prefer seeing/hearing him live as opposed to his records (which I like as well). And that "violin tone" of his - beautiful... My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth
