The video's creepy, but I like the song. I prefer it to The Girl is Mine, but probably because I haven't heard it nearly as much. I couldnt' escape from either when they were out.

Never cared for it. I don't like the key that it's written in, especially Michael's part on what can I do, to get through to you...Egads.

I like the solo demo version of The Girl is Mine more than the released version

You mean they're singing too high?

I liked it way back when, but it sounds completely ridiculous now.

And couldn't they find a love interest for Mike in the video other than his sister?

Agreed. Off The Wall is one of the funkiest albums ever. But "The Girl Is Mine" is sooooo out of place it's not even funny. Especially when Michael says in his sissiest voice ever "But Paul, I Told You I'm A Lover Not A Fighter" mad mad

I love "Say Say Say." It's better than "The Girl Is Mine," but I love that one as well. "I'm a lover, not a fighter" is one of my favorite lines. Hilarious! lol

Aw, is it worse than the talking in the beginning of "I Call Your Name?" "I'm a man now baby a grown man."

You can hear the influence of "Love Child" by The Supremes in Say Say Say.

At least there wasn't a video. They could have shown a lady wearing just a T Shirt that said "ATV" on it.

Was it as uh, interesting as this?

What??? That's the BEST part of the song. Jesus, everyone hates on MJ nowadays, justly, but now folks are crossing the line and wanting to hate on him for when he was the coolest motherfucker that walked the Earth.

Unbelievable.

And furthermore, "The Girl Is Mine" was the fucking shit...don't nobody front...you know you was singing that shit to your sister's friends when they slept over your house and shit trying to be cool when you was 10, especially the spoken parts where Paul's voice drops a couple of octaves and is sounding mighty black, 'cause that shit was funny as fuck...I will be rolling up on motherfuckers and catching them unawares with my Paul McCartney spoken interlude impersonation when I am 80 and shit. I PROMISE THAT.

"Now listen Michael, we're not gonna fight about this..." and, of course, the unforgettable "Well she told me I was her forever lover, don't you remember?"

Classic.

Now if folks feel some old school Mike absolutely must be trashed, then go start a "State of Shock" thread.

Gimme a break, it has nothing to do with hating on MJ. I don't care who sang the song, as I stated earlier I'm not fond of the key it's written--B flat I think. And I don't like the bridge either...another flat. But somehow not going gaga over one song equates hatred for MJ. Whatever.

I preferred The Girl Is Mine and The Man out of their duets, in that order.

I guess I'm in the minority, because I like "The Girl Is Mine" boxed

it's a nice, breezy, midtempo pop song....it sounds silly nowadays, but in the fall of 1982,I liked it alot.

"Say Say Say" is okay....the lyrics are corny, but the song is cool.

If I were Paul McCartney I would never have put this on my album. It only goes to highlight how great a vocalist Michael is and how painfully weak Paul is.

I like the song, MJ shines over Paul, but I have to laugh everytime I hear it because this song reminds me of that interview of Paul McCartney and how angry he was at MJ when he outbid him for the Beetles catalog.

MJ: I'm gonna buy your songs..."
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
