While watching highlights of this past Monday night's game in New Orleans, the pre game festivities featured ubergroup U2 along with Green Day as the main acts. When the Super Bowl was last in New Orleans just after 9/11, the main act during half time was again, U2 . What I want to know is what American band has the status and draw to be featured at such large public events like these, who would you want to see on the Big Stage at those type of concerts following tragic events, a group that is supposed to inspire you, lift your spirits and make you proud to be somebody? Has Green Day reached that plateau, what about Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band? Who shall represent America as the best group?
