Get Me Bodied is the bomb Trax...

That song is hotter than hell and should be the next single in my opinion. What do you guys think? On another hand "freakum Dress" is the pits and should have never been recorded. Also what up with "kitty Kat"? Isn't that kinda gross? I thought she used to say she was classy. Jay Z has some seriously strong influences in her music now. I wonder what her father thinks about this. confused

Yes, the extended mix especially.
tho' I battled blind
love is a fate resigned
memories mar my mind
love it is a fate resigned

Over futile odds
and laughed at by the Gods
and now the final frame
Love is a losing game

Get Me Bodied--my jam right there. She got good and country on that one.

Kitty Kat is kinda weird, but I don't find it gross. When I saw the title I was like eek but the song itself isn't raunchy to me. I really like it, in fact, especially the bridge.

The next single is "Irreplaceable" and I think it's a wise choice. The first two singles were not as radio friendly, but "Irreplaceable" should be.

"Kitty Kat" is cute to me.

I think "Irreplaceable" is a wise choice, I see that being an anthem.

i actually like "irreplacable" but i don't think it should be the next single. it's all about "get me bodied" damnit!

kitty kat isn't raunchy, maybe the one line where she says something like you aint getting no nookie. it's still a bit risque for dear, sweet, innocent beyonce.

Nope. "Get Me Bodied" is a possible single AFTER "Irreplaceable." She's gotta slow the tempo down a bit. And "Irreplaceable is deceptively "sweet" sounding, a nice contrast to "Ring the Alarm" even though they share the same theme. In fact the whole CD is pretty thematic. She shouldn't have put "Deja Vu" as the opener, though, 'cause the CD would've almost followed a storyline if it wasn't the first song. "Get Me Bodied" should've opened the CD. The bridge of that song is sick, as well as the part after the bridge:
Aint no shame cause I gotta get mine
I swing my hair and kick off my shoes
Come here boy, let me work on you

I just like the way she sounds: "A little sweat aint never hurt nobody!

The way this slant review desribes "Kitty Kat" always stayed with me lol:
She lays out her mission to be seen on "Get Me Bodied," declares herself a "Suga Mama," and adds the term "Freakum Dress" to the pop lexicon, all in the name of the power of the P. In fact, "Kitty Kat," the only mid-tempo break until the very end of the album, finds Beyoncé literally packing up her p*ssy and leaving the man who no longer seems interested in what she's selling: "Let's go, little kitty kat/I think it's time to go/He don't want you anymore." http://www.slantmagazine....asp?ID=950
It's a different type of song for her, but i thought it was a creative way to get her point across.

i see your point from a marketing perspective she'll need to come out with a softer track as her next single since so far the others are faster in tempo and a lot more abrassive but damnit get me bodied is one bad ass funk jam workout. smile also i like suga mama. do you? i don't understand why people are slagging this album off. it's pretty darn good.

sorry, i forgot all about this thread. Yes, Suga Mama was the first song I liked off the CD. It shows off her voice. Too bad she never releases songs like that. I think it's a good CD--better than her first, for sure. This CD is more hip hop influenced. A rapper could rap over these beats, and here she is singing over them. It allowed her to sing harder and have more edge, but the downside is it's not as "lush" sounding and melodic as some of the material on "dangerously in love." So, some may not dig it as much. I think it's a pretty interesting experiment, myself. Her voice sounds a lot stronger, especially on the slow cuts. She shouldn't have told anyone that she made it in two weeks, though. That was dumb.
