I read somewhere this may have only been a UK release so far. I saw it here in Canada though. If you have all her CDs, the only thing that's new on the collection is Basement Jaxx's remix of "4 My People"

I would buy that in a second. I liked Missy's singles, but never thought a full album would hold up.

I just don't want to hear the same song over and over. I just don't believe that she's having sex with all these "Hot Boyz". I don't believe it for a second. hmph!

I wish it was the remix with Q-Tip and Nas on there. And Missy makes songs as anthems for wide audiences, I don't think they are necessarily meant to be autobiographical.

I only saw it as an import. Looks really good. The only full album she made that I bought and really dug was "So Addictive".

Since I've got the albums, there's nothing here for me. Missy peaked early, but I've liked everything of hers until her last album.

i have it in download form...i like it cuz there aren't any segues and there's space in between each song, so it makes for better shuffle play listening (and i hate segues!). there are also a handful of remixed versions of some of the singles. i like missy a lot, and even though i have all but one or two of her albums, this is fun to have. recommended! thumbs up!

I never really liked "4 My People" and the album version was on the video so I don't even know what this Basement Jaxx remix sounds like.

"Teary Eyed" did nothing for me, but it's just sorta tacked on the end of this CD so it's not bad compilation.

The remix got played a lot on the Music Choice dance channel. It's very house-y.

I kind of wish the tracklisting was in chronological order, so one could hear her progression over the years.

In any case, I have all her albums, so I'm passin' this one up.

lol No, I actually kind of agree. The way I see it, her first and third records are pop/rap perfection, her sophomore was decent at best, and her last three records are just stale.

I just meant progression as in moving on to so many different styles regardless of quality.

...I'm still wondering why "Teary Eyed" was selected.

Either way, I'll have to pick this up. I highly enjoy Missy's stuff.

It's basically a singles collection, it was a single.

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Could be true. She actually has her own boutique label. There was supposed to be a movie called Respect ME, a biography.. Purple Rain type movie.

Say what? This isn't the same thing as her biopic that's presumably still in the works, right?

Yeah, the biopic, that's what I meant. I would expect it's almost ready.

I don't believe it is. It was only a couple months ago a biopic was even officially announced (widespread, anyway) and stated to be "in the beginning stages" or something along those lines.

They moviemakers also ran into a problem when Timbaland "declined to be in the movie". Whether he meant just acting-wise or acting-wise AND script-wise, I'm not sure.

That's what I figured. Notice no new songs. The fact that it's only available as an import shows just how much Missy's popularity has gone down from when she started out, to when she peaked with "Work It".
