It's not her best work but I haven't bought a cd in a while so i thought if i did it for anyone, it would be Janet.

The Walmart bonus DVD sounds really unexciting
I'm just gonna get the basic $9.99 cd

What is on their bonus edition (as opposed to the regular bonus editoin, which I caved in and bought). Anybody not buy the special edition but the basic....if so, what cover did you get (that kind of came as a surprise...I didn't think they would go through with that).

I listened to the whole album and I have so much to say that I might wait until tonight. Basically, it's alright.

Target only had the ugly fan-made artwork for the regular edition.

I went to Best Buy and guess what....they all do! That came as a surprise to me. It was one reason I caved and bought the special edition. The booklet is nice but there isn't much variety when it comes to the cover...in other words, you get that same cover three times and the fan artwork isn't seen at all. Also, it's made of shiny foil, so you're finger prints will be all over it. The acutal case for the CD and DVD is a flimsy digi pack, so be careful.

You mean the phyiscal Cds cover....is it filled with old photos of Janet? Yeah, and yes, it does look bootleg. but the same collage appears in places on the cover.

Yeah, looks fanmade just like the lousy covers (I acutally like the "Velvet Ropish" one...only problem is it's an old photo!

I do, too. That's why I bought that one, but I had the same issue. "I'd like this more if it were a new photo." lol Picky bitch, I am!

Could you tell more about the booklet/dvd? I plan on heading down to Circuit City after work (assuming that's the SE you got) and it'd be good to know exactly what to expect if I do get the special edition.

if possible, got to Best Buy since it's cheaper AND they offer four remixes of "Call On Me" (I was hoping they were brand new songs, but what are you going to do). Circuit City might have a special booklet, I don't know for sure. Typical specil edition booklet stuff. Lots of new Janet, some on the set of "Call On Me". Haven't watched the DVD, but it seems like self explanationtory promo stuff, including behind the scenes (but probably not really....just some specially made thing with an interview). I assume it's a commbination of stuff they showed on Oprah, with her on a set talking about the album and the BET behind the scenes special of "Call On Me", with the video.

Of course....not. She doesn't look what I would say is super skinny and airbrushed to anexoric, though. She looks good. Most of the photos have her in a white tank top. In some of the photos, she is kind of glassy eyed (like in the ones where she is against a white background and wearing dresses) but she smiles in a few...and that smile!

All the store charts I saw today had it predicted at #20 or so. Better than Damita Jo which totally missed the Top 40 anyway.

It's so surprising to me that Janet is that popular in the UK, like Madonna. I'd be very shocked if the album didn't debut at number one, with the Oprah push. I guess MTV is ignoring her, though, so maybe they're support will be with Ludacris, who also usually debuts at number one.

Right, the stores have it predicted at around #20-#25, but midweek sales have it at #58. Janet really hasn't had a proper hit album in the UK since 1993. The Velvet Rope and All For You hung around the lower ends for a while after charting high and dropping. She's never done well here unless she has one killer single to draw attention to her.

Yes, there is. It has the cover that has been featured all over the net (the regular editionhas one of four fan made covers....all of those appear to be widely available but probably for a limited time, maybe a few months). DVD edition in a nice box, has a booklet, etc. I don't think it's that limited. I doubt you'll have a problem finding it at most stores this week, that's for sure. Right now, it's $17.99 at Best Buy, a little bit more at Circuit CIty and Target. All of them have special promotions. Best Buy's is four "Call On Me" remixes (as downloads), Circuit CIty offers one (it's probably different from the four offered at Best Buy) and Target gives you the ability to buy tickets early for the tour. All I know is, the downloads are a sure thing....
