I guess you could classify them as a new wave group. I never paid much attention to them back in the 80's, but have heard some of their songs on VH-1's show, "I Love the 80's". I have found that I like their music. But then again, I could be a bit biased, since everybody who knows me on here knows that I love anything that has to do with the 80's.

I remember that video "Sooner or Later" I just loved that damn song. And the vid. was sooo funny to me for some reason. I wonder if they are still making music??

Yes and I'm going to see them in November in Mpls. I haven't seen them live in ages.

I can't say that I've heard anything from English Beat, but I do know the spin off group, General Public. I love "Tenderness" and their '94 cover of "I'll Take You There" from "Reality Bites".

Weren't they an early version of Fine Young Cannibals?

Yeah, I never know what the line-up will be because it seems to change a lot, but I love Dave Wakeling and I'm glad he's still involved. I saw them a couple of times already, but that was about 12 years ago already.

And I love the venue they're playing at in Mpls. The Cabooze: nice, big, dirty bar with a small stage and a great mix of people. I practically used to live there.
