The Mary Jane Girls have been re-formed by Rick James and Mary J.Blige.They will record for Blige's new label. However, they are not the same girls from the 80s.Instead,it is now a "modernized" version of the group with, presumably, younger members. The old members occasionally reunite and perform at various Super Oldies Shows (I saw them back in February). They now refer to themselves as "MJG" since James now owns the original name. He's also not too thrilled that they are still touring without his involvement, but they gotta make money, too!

That third Mary Jane Girls album is called 'Conversation' and it was recorded in 1986.Alas,it remains unreleased in the Motown vaults, collecting dust.
