PrintableWhat saddens me the most is Janet,Jimmy and Terry don't even realize how mediocre their recent work has been.They even dared comparing these recent projects to the legendary Control! They definitely need their ears checked. I only liked 3 songs on DJ and one of them was a bonus track only available on the Japanese edition (Put your hands on) and 3 tracks on the new album,I'm still buying my copy because I'm a fan of J but it's a SAD era,Janet is over.  | |

One of the two that I sorta dig, Do It 2 Me I played on repeat a few times but to my dismay it got old before I reached my destination. I suddenly realized how redundant it is. i've been on the org since the black and purple days and everyone here who knows me also knows that janet jackson is my favorite female "pop" superstar. i've been on countless threads backing janet up when it comes time for the janet v. madonna threads. just because i'm voicing immense dissatisfaction with this record doesn't mean i hate janet. why do i have to love everything she does? just because she's janet jackson? i don't even love everything my brother does or everything my mother does!
no, janet made what in my opinion is a piece of shit record and i'm not gonna "support" her and force myself to like it just because it's janet jackson. she fucked up this time around bowing to the pressure of industry people. i'm certainly not going to say i like it and i'm even more certain to keep from buying it. my days of buying an artist's record just because of who they are are long gone. if you can't be fucked to make a good record in the period of two years, you don't deserve 5 cents from me let alone 11 bucks.
