My Girlfriend is OBSESSED with Janet Jackson. Janet will performing live on the today show on 9/29, and my gf wants to make the 3+ hour trek from Boston to NYC to check it out. Does anybody know what's involved with getting close enough to the stage to actually see this? In other words, do we have to pay? How early should we get there? Do they only let certain (or a ceartain number of) people in? My GF's b-day is on the 27th so I'd like to hook this up for her.

You don't have to pay to be at Rockerfeller Plaza. Just show up as early as you can cause Janet has a LOT of fans. It should be a first come first serve thing. If you go, it's on 48th or 49th St between 5th and 6th Ave. Hell I might even go if I can get a break from work.
