While I think Beyonce has a voice I understand what people mean when they say she can't sing. The same thing is said about Mary J. Blige. I'm curious...

who would some of you guys rather hear sing live:

Beyonce or Mary J. Blige???

Beyoncé, easily.

Vocally, Mary J. is too hit & miss live. The new spin Beyoncé puts on her songs live usually end up better than the recorded version, more times than not.

I agree. Irreplaceable live in Tokyo Japan sounds a lot better than what is on the album.

No, Beyonce hasn't surpassed any of the divas back in the day. But, I feel she has made an impressive start for herself. She's given herself some wiggle room with this latest project.

I used to think this chick couldn't sing for crap, but I've changed my views....or she's grown a voice....something has changed 'cause girlfriend's voice seems more powerful to me now. She's not yodeling like in the early DC days. On "Suga Mama" "Listen" and "Resentment" off the new CD, girlfriend was bringing it....I don't care.

nod

'Listen' is a powerful ballad. Doesn't even sound like Beyonce. Very different from when she chooses not to hold the note.

What are we talking? Record sales? Staying power? Talent? Movies?

Anyway, I'd say it's a big "no" to all of the above.

i guees all of the above. i think if beyonce gets recognised as being really talented in dream girls she may have out done the boss. that is really crazy to me.
